I believe in global warming. I used to talk about it with all the people I know, and I’ve been writing about it many times. But it has been difficult those last few months. Winter has been unusually long and cold in my area. I’ve checked my heating bills earlier last week, and I’ve spent more than last year. That made it difficult for me. Of course I was arguing that global warming is a global trend, and that it is distinct from day-to-day temperatures, but it’s difficult to argue against people immediate perceptions. You just can’t say it’s warming up when people are freezing.
Well, weather has changed, and to my great relief, even if actually I wished I could have been wrong, we now have new data to confirm that global warming is very real.
It comes from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA): June, April to June, and Year-to-Date Global Temperatures are Warmest on Record . Our planet has never been hotter than last month. That’s since men started measuring and recording temperatures, more than a hundred years ago.
