This vehicle is not intended for production. It’s a R&D prototype mostly built with European public funds. It was built in Aachen (Aix La Chapelle), and several manufacturers were partners in the project, Fiat, Michelin and Volkswagen. This is about an all electric compact van, built on a dedicated platform. The name is Deliver, and that’s what it does, with a rated capacity of 700 kg. It’s a one-seater, to enable the driver to enter/exit easily from either side, and it’s said to have a roomier load area than competing vehicles with the same wheelbase. Range is a modest 62 miles, but that may be enough for inner-city delivery.
The Deliver is a fully drivable prototype which has been unveiled at the FISITA congress in Holland, where participants can ask questions about it.
