This is a brand new car. The Smart Fortwo has been unveiled barely a few days ago, but Daimler knows its smallest model is the world’s most shared with car2go, the world’s leading car-sharing service. Thousands of little Smart cars are shared everyday in twelve major cities all around the world. A few cities have chosen the all electric version (not expected before 2016 in this generation), but with a much longer range, the standard gasoline model is much easier to manage. The new Smart will arrive at European dealerships by October, it could enter service in car2go before the end of the year.

Sure, with few people willing to buy one of those midgets, they must share them between the folks who can’t afford a car.
